About The Position

Sutter West Bay Medical Group is seeking a physician board-certified in Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an interested candidate to help build an Addiction Medicine clinic and curriculum embedded within our Internal Medicine resident primary care clinic, where all Internal Medicine and Psychiatry residents will receive education in treating substance use disorders.

Requirements

  • Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine.
  • Experience in curriculum development and program development.
  • Strong clinical skills in both Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to teaching and mentoring residents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a graduate medical education setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership in educational or clinical settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care in both Primary Care and Addiction Medicine.
  • Engage in curriculum development and program development activities.
  • Develop and deliver an Addiction Medicine curriculum for Internal Medicine and Psychiatry residents.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research activities as needed.
