Ascension Saint Agnes is looking for a board-certified Anesthesiologist to serve as our Chair of Anesthesiology. This position assumes bottom-line responsibility for department capital and operating budgets, ensuring that budgeted targets are met or exceeded. The role involves supervising the department and its subsections, overseeing staff deployment, employee development, performance, and satisfaction. The Chair defines criteria for staff privileges in conjunction with department members and oversees the delivery of clinical care. Additionally, the position identifies new technology and treatments, promotes progressive and best practices, and ensures that quality and performance improvement activities are functioning effectively. The Chair also oversees risk management activities, including the adjudication of patient complaints.
