UW Health in northern Illinois is recruiting an exceptional, board-certified Cardiac Surgeon to join our dynamic cardiovascular surgery team. We are looking for candidates with an interest in adult cardiac surgery, with a focus on coronary artery disease and structural heart disease, including surgical and trans-catheter aortic valve replacement. We’re looking for candidates who have the desire and passion to help build a robust cardiothoracic surgery service line in northern Illinois. You will have the full support of the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in this endeavor. As a member of our medical group with over 280 employed providers, including comprehensive cardiology and pulmonary teams as well as over 100 primary care providers, you have the benefit of a built-in referral base from the area’s preferred healthcare provider. Supporting a robust TAVR program Supporting Carbone Cancer Center Rockford in caring for lung cancer patients Access to state-of-the-art equipment and operating rooms, with brand new hybrid room, 15 modern surgical suites and 3 Da Vinci Xi robots 30-bed ICU with dedicated 24-hour coverage by in-house intensivists 12-county regional referral area in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, with a catchment area of over 500,000 Academic appointment and teaching with University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford
