About The Position

Boulder Community Health is seeking a Physician for Boulder Creek Family Medicine who is responsible for providing medical services on behalf of BCH and under the direction of the medical director or delegate. Duties include patient assessment, direct patient care, treatment planning, medical case management, writing orders and prescriptions, appropriate referrals, participation in appropriate staffing and communication with patient, staff, employer, insurance and attorneys. Requirements

  • MD or DO school.
  • BLS Certification by end of conditional period.
  • Colorado's license in good standing.
  • DEA in good standing.
  • Adequate malpractice coverage.
  • At least two years experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Level II accreditation Department of Labor.

Responsibilities

  • Direct patient care - assessment and treatment.
  • Writing/directing treatment plan.
  • Determination of MMI and IR as appropriate.
  • Timely communication with the employer, insurance adjuster, nurse case manager, or specialist involved.
  • Completion of appropriate paperwork as per Department of Labor and OHS Medical Director.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters relating to patient care.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Colorado Department of Labor, Division of Workers Compensation Guidelines for medical treatment.
  • Discuss with Medical Director any cases, which exceed treatment guidelines.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork as requested and per routine in a timely manner including correspondence.
  • Comply with contract requirements from insurance carriers such as Pinnocal Assurance Select Net.
  • Prescribe work accommodations based on ADA job descriptions.
  • Communicate via phone to the employer after the initial patient visit and when significant changes occur in the medical treatment plan.
