About The Position

The PA will provide general medical care to all age groups with a wide variety of medical conditions. Will be responsible to perform comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, intervention, management, referral, and evaluation of client care across the continuum of health care services. The PA will provide leadership and actively participate in program development and evaluation, research, and clinical teaching activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, together with a certificate from completing an American Medical Association approved physician assistant program.
  • 1-2 years’ experience as a PA.
  • PAC license.
  • BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all treatment and preventative health care services in the department as delegated and agreed by the supervising physician in the office.
  • Assess patients’ health and their demands and aim to fulfill them as well as possible.
  • Issue appropriate prescriptions and administer medicine.
  • Inform physicians about any problems or discrepancies that might arise.
  • Acquire and review patient histories identifying abnormal conditions.
  • Monitor patients’ progress and keep records of treatments, surgeries, or other medical events.
  • Attend emergencies and aid during surgeries.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and conduct routine procedures (measure blood pressure and temperature, administer injections, etc.).
  • Provide therapeutic treatments (disinfecting wounds, stitching, etc.).
  • Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients.
  • Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members of various specializations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
