About The Position

Monterey Medical is seeking a Part-Time or PRN dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Batavia, NY with flexibility on days/week. In this rewarding role, you will provide high-quality care by conducting medical disability evaluations for Veterans and Separating Military Members, along with occupational health exams such as Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals and pre-employment assessments.

Requirements

Unrestricted State NP license to practice.
Certified Medical Examiner (CME) (required for DOT physicals) – training and certification provided if needed.
Competence in performing: Musculoskeletal assessments with range of motion. Pulmonary function test (PFT) interpretation. ECG interpretation. Pelvic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary examinations.
Strong knowledge of aseptic technique in clinical settings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Compensation & Pension exams preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams for Veterans.
Conduct pre-discharge physical exams for active-duty service members.
Provide occupational physicals including DOT exams, pre-employment exams, fit-for-duty exams, and health assessments.
Complete thorough documentation and maintain accurate patient records.
Educate patients as appropriate.
No ongoing treatment or follow-up required.
