About The Position

The Per Diem Surgical OR Physician Assistant assists, monitors, and manages the day-to-day needs of patients as requested by, in conjunction with, and under the supervision of a physician. Performs the duties and responsibilities of a Physician Assistant according to customary and generally accepted medical standards. Position covers Multi-Specialty Surgery, On-call coverage for the operating room on a per diem basis to first assist surgeons in emergent surgical cases in all specialties.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program, accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms
• Physician Assistant License.
• National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
