SUMMARY OF POSITION: PAs perform exercise and tilt table testing, assist in electrophysiologic studies performed in the EP laboratory/OR, including insertion of temporary pacing catheters and intracardiac mapping, analysis of recordings made during electrophysiologic studies, orientation of the cardiology fellows to electrophysiologic studies, perform initial and follow-up history and physical exams on arrhythmia evaluation (EKGs, carotid sinus massage). The PAs perform initial and follow-up evaluations of pacemaker and ICD patients and evaluation of post-operative wounds and also participate in the recruitment/care of patients in research protocols. May need to travel between sites depending on operational need (Hutchinson Campus & Moses). SCHEDULE: 7:30 AM-6 PM. Days vary.
