POSITION OVERVIEW Sub-specialty: Radiology Physician Assistant Department: RP North Houston Reports to: Practice Director Location: Houston, TX POSITION SUMMARY Assist in direct patient care services, including inpatient and outpatient consultations, and follow up Perform procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, venous access, biopsies and lumbar punctures. Prior experience in performing these procedures is a plus but not required Assist in outpatient Interventional Radiology clinic and all duties necessary to support the clinic • Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose and treat illnesses and/or injuries Assist in facilitating patients for procedures including pre-authorizations, working with facilities to coordinate procedures as needed, processing orders, sending reports back to referring doctors Perform or assist in fluoroscopic studies Order and interpret laboratory and radiographic studies Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes Perform history and physical examinations and consents of radiology patients Verbal and written communications with referring physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals regarding patients to assist and facilitate the medical management of the patients Schedule: M – Fri (No Weekends) LOCAL PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY OVERVIEW RP North Houston is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the team in the 4th largest city in the country – Houston, TX!
