We offer a supportive team environment at a local community hospital with hands-on training from both our surgeons and fellow PAs. Under the direction of the Supervising Physician, Chief Physician Assistant or Director of Physician Assistant Services performs history and physical examinations. Establishes a presumptive diagnosis and performs a general work-up including the ordering of appropriate laboratory studies and responsible for the patient’s medical issues following the diagnosis. May assist medical staff with pre, intra- and post-operative surgical activities and research projects in assigned area. Monday-Friday, Hours vary between 7AM – 6PM. Must be available for overtime and weekend coverage as needed. Floor and some OR time. Schedule subject to change to accommodate the surgical program. Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s in Physician Assistant studies.
• NYS licensure.
• NCCPA certification

Nice To Haves

• Experience assisting in the operating room.
• Orthopedic Experience
• Experience with administering injections or must be willing to learn
• 1 + years of experience as a Physician Assistant.
