About The Position

Physician Assistant – Family Medicine | Full-Time | Virginia Beach, VA Immediate opening due to practice growth. Blackwood Family Medicine is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant who wants to grow as a clinician and provide excellent primary care. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is curious, collaborative, and committed to lifelong learning. Our practice provides the full spectrum of primary care, including high-quality, patient-centered care that ranks nationally in quality outcomes. We are looking for a clinician who is intelligent, motivated, flexible, and enjoys working as part of a strong team of physicians and advanced practitioners. This allows providers to develop stronger clinical judgment while delivering more comprehensive care for patients. Requirements

  • Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • Active Virginia license or eligibility to obtain
  • Commitment to evidence-based medicine
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Interest in growing as a primary care clinician whether as a recent graduate or clinician with years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Perform preventive care, wellness visits, and health screenings
  • Conduct appropriate diagnostic evaluations and initial workups to prepare patients for specialist consultation when referral is appropriate
  • Educate patients about prevention, lifestyle changes, and disease management
  • Collaborate with physicians and care team members to ensure excellent patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
