About The Position

Introducing an excellent opportunity available for a Physician Assistant to provide Emergency Medicine services at the J. Daly Center for Emergency and Trauma Care, a full-service Level II 64 bed Trauma Center with 60,000+ visits, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, a 473-bed, community teaching hospital, located in Bridgeport, CT. Join a high-acuity Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department where you’ll evaluate and treat patients across the full spectrum—from minor complaints to critical trauma—while collaborating with physicians who truly value and invest in Physician Assistant growth. Work in a well-resourced Emergency Department with 24-hour specialist support including intensivists, trauma surgery, neurosurgery, OB/GYN, orthopaedics, and hospitalists. You will work alongside a tenured, highly supportive Physician Assistant team known for its strong culture, high Physician Assistant retention, and job satisfaction. In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists. Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider’s practice as designated by protocols and identifies problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician.

Requirements

  • Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
  • Training: Physician Assistant (PA)
