Position Summary Valley Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. The PA, under the supervision of a licensed, state-approved sponsoring physician, is responsible for obtaining medical histories, performing comprehensive physical exams, diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and minor illnesses and injuries. The PA plays a vital role in patient care delivery, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to promote positive health outcomes. For a limited time, this position offers a $10,000.00 sign-on bonus to qualified candidates.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
  • Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Current license to practice in the State of Georgia.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Certified Physician Assistant.
  • Valid CPR/BCLS, ACLS, or PALS certification.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential patient information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time and priorities effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • At least two (2) years’ experience in a related healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient/family interviews and compile medical histories.
  • Perform physical examinations, make preliminary diagnoses, prescribe treatments, and recommend drug therapies.
  • Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests.
  • Analyze patient history, exam findings, and test results to formulate diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physician.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
  • Treat illnesses under physician supervision; write prescriptions requiring physician co-signature.
  • Consult with the supervising physician as necessary.
  • Assist physicians during medical procedures.
  • Perform administrative tasks as directed by the Medical Director or supervising physician.
  • Attend required in-service trainings and departmental meetings.
  • Execute additional assigned responsibilities as needed.
