About The Position

IRMC is seeking a Certified Physician Assistant for our Pulmonology Department. RESPONSIBILITY: Minimum Education Required: The Physician Assistant (PA) shall have the knowledge and competency to perform the following functions: 1. Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program. 2. Graduation from an accredited AMA Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAAHEP)–approved program. Licensure/Certification Required: Certification by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Physician Assistant. Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Maintains current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification — required or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire. Must be Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or obtain certification within one (1) month of hire. Essential Skills: Possesses strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team. Maintains hearing and visual acuity necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. Adheres to the responsibilities and scope of practice of the Physician Assistant profession in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Meets criteria for Allied Health Professional status at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Desired Experience: Prior experience as a Physician Assistant, RN, or equivalent clinical role. Experience utilizing telehealth equipment and processes.
