About The Position

The Physician Assistant functions as first or second assist in the operating room, including performing surgical exposure, surgical dissections, layer closure of wounds, etc. The PA will triage patient calls and evaluates patient problems. Conducts physical exams, taking medical history, image interpretation and patient evaluation/care. This is a full-time position is working directly with an Arthritis Physician and team. Scheduled day hours are Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM. This role has some flexibility with the schedule to best meet the needs of the team and patient care. This role involves working closely with the surgeon and second APP to diagnose and treat patients with arthritis conditions; this role will be assisting in surgery as needed. Primary location will be our Vadnais Heights Campus with flexibility to float to other Summit campuses and local hospitals. (Plymouth, Woodlake, Woodwinds, Maple Grove and United Hospital) The role also involves taking call with the surgeon throughout the year.
