Job Summary Job Summary: We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to support a growing vascular surgery and vascular medicine service line. The PA will work collaboratively with vascular surgeons and clinical staff to provide high-quality care for patients with arterial and venous disease across outpatient and procedural settings.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Active PA license in NY
  • NCCPA certification
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in vascular surgery, vascular medicine, cardiology, or general surgery
  • Experience with outpatient vascular clinics and/or procedural settings
  • Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR
  • BLS/ACLS certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient histories, physical exams, and vascular assessments
  • Evaluate and manage patients with vascular conditions including peripheral arterial disease (PAD), venous insufficiency, DVT, carotid artery disease, aneurysms, and chronic wounds
  • Order, review, and interpret diagnostic studies (vascular ultrasound, ABI/PVR studies, CTA/MRA, labs)
  • Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care for vascular procedures
  • Conduct hospital rounds (if applicable) and manage inpatient consults
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with vascular surgeons
  • Prescribe medications and adjust therapies in accordance with clinical protocols
  • Provide patient education regarding disease processes, procedures, and post-treatment care
  • Document clinical encounters accurately in the EMR
  • Coordinate care with referring providers, imaging, wound care, and ancillary services
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and service line growth efforts
