Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant - Surgery / Vascular and Surgical Oncology to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. The Physician Assistant for Vascular Surgery and Surgical Oncology provides diagnostic and therapeutic care under the supervision of attending physicians. Opportunity Details: Schedule: Daytime, with flexibility; inpatient and procedural coverage. Provides perioperative management of vascular and surgical oncology patients in the outpatient setting in collaboration with attending physicians and clinical staff. Assists in the operating room following appropriate training and approval when resident support is unavailable or insufficient. Prepares patients for surgery on the day of procedure and takes appropriate precautions to ensure patient safety. Participates in quality assurance and departmental meetings focused on patient safety, surgical quality, case volume, and clinical protocols. Performs additional duties within the Department of Surgery, as assigned by the Chief of Surgery and division leadership, including operative procedures, inpatient rounding, clinics, or consults as needed. Participates in QAPI projects and quality initiatives, including EMR chart review, to support patient safety and quality assurance. May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified by the NCCPA.
  • Licensed to practice in New York State.
  • ACLS life support certification or eligible to obtain.
  • Clinical experience preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $131,127 - $174,836 based on 40-hour work week and years of state licensure.
  • The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239 - $192,319, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below:
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
