About The Position

Sacred Heart University seeks adjunct faculty to join our Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies Program (MSPAS). Position duties include teaching and coordinating activities related to the didactic phase of the program located in Stamford, CT. The program complements graduate programs in the College of Health Profession's Athletic Training, Exercise Science & Nutrition, Healthcare Informatics, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Public Health, and Speech-Language Pathology programs. The College also offers undergraduate programs in Exercise Science and Health Science. In addition to academic excellence, the College has a rich tradition of service learning, study-abroad opportunities and faculty practice activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Master's degree.
• Current NCCPA certification or national board certification in their profession.
• Minimum of two years working as a licensed PA or other profession (three years preferred).
• Prior experience teaching in a PA program.
• Familiarity with the ARC-PA accreditation process.
• Eligibility for licensure in Connecticut.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Physician, Advanced Practice Nurse (APRNs), or Licensed Health Care Professional with teaching experience.
