About The Position
The Physician Assistant in Sports Medicine will provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages. This role involves performing pre-operative care, including diagnosing patient conditions and prescribing necessary care, including surgery. The Physician Assistant will prepare patients for surgery and assist as a first or second assistant in operating room cases. Additionally, they will manage the transfer of patients from the operating room to the intensive care unit and develop post-operative care plans, preparing patients and their families for discharge. The position requires working four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday and rotating to all satellite locations as well as the main campus in Longwood.
