The analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of clinical, scientific or technical principles, theories and concepts and in-depth, cross-functional experience-based knowledge.
Communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and medicated fair solutions, and well-developed writing skills.
A current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Physician Assistant.
Responsibilities
Providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages in Sports Medicine.
Performing pre-op care including diagnosing patient condition and prescribing care including surgery.
Preparing patients for surgery and assisting as a first or second assistant in OR cases.
Managing transfers of patients from OR to ICU.
Developing post-op care plans and preparing patients and families for patient discharge.
Working four 10-hour shifts; Monday - Friday.
Rotating to all satellites as well as main campus (Longwood).
