We are seeking a Physician Assistant who will practice within the guidelines of the department and institution in accordance with the Physician Assistant Delegation Agreement required and approved by the State of Maryland and appropriately credentialed by the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Physician Assistants are classified as senior staff by the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Physician Assistants will work under the direction, supervision and responsibility of an attending physician, and in accordance with established policies evaluate patient health status through diagnostic procedures and tests. Physician Assistants will work alongside fellows, residents, nurses, radiologic technologists and other healthcare professionals to provide the highest quality therapeutic patient care. Physician Assistants must have a comprehensive understanding of clinic and/or surgical procedures, patient care, procedures, medical protocols and testing procedures. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, chemistry, psychology, pharmacology, clinical medicine, radiology, microbiology and pathology. Interventional Neuroradiology has three core Physician Assistant concentrations. These include, Lab Proceduralist, Clinic Patient Care, and Bedside Proceduralist. A PA may be assigned to one concentration or may work in several.
