The Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant works under the direction, supervision, and responsibility of a physician, evaluating patients' health status through diagnostic procedures and tests. This role provides support to the surgical team as a first and second assist and delivers therapeutic patient care in various settings including outpatient and clinic areas, Pediatric Cardiac OR, procedural areas, Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, and Pediatric Progressive and Acute Care Units, all under the guidance of a physician and established protocols.
