Physician Assistant, PA / Nurse Practitioner, NP - Gastroenterology
About The Position
Could you be our next Outpatient Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for the NEW Gastroenterology Practice at Riddle Hospital in Media, PA? Make an impact on your patient's life as an Advanced Practice Clinician, you would be aiding in the management of your patients in a variety of areas: outpatient, inpatient, peri-operative and intra-operative care. You would extend the services of the attending surgeon/physician by: acting as a liaison for the supervising physician, obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting imaging, laboratory and other diagnostic tests, prescribing medications & therapies, performing and assisting in common bedside/office procedures. Requirements
- 2 years' experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant/surgical assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- MSN required
- Must be Certified ( PA-C ) or Nurse Practitioner, (CRNP)
- Active license with Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure.
- Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required.
- ACLS certification required.
- Additional certifications specific to specialty may be required or preferred.
- Refer to the Specialty Addendum.
- Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved.

- 2 years of related experience in Gastroenterology preferred
