About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is excited to invite a skilled and passionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing Pulmonary team of dedicated PA/NPs and MDs. We are seeking a candidate ready to make a meaningful impact managing both acute and chronic pulmonary conditions such as COPD, asthma, sarcoidosis, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary nodules, and beyond. In this vital role, you will deliver safe, comprehensive, and compassionate clinical care under the guidance of an MD, becoming an integral part of our patient-centered approach.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with multiple disciplines
  • Self- motived with ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • High level of clinical proficiency and decision-making.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have completed an accredited program and be eligible to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations.
  • Advanced practice clinicians work under the direct supervision of a physician.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in pulmonary or working with pulmonary disorders ideal.

Responsibilities

  • Expertly order, interpret, and evaluate pulmonology and related diagnostic tests to accurately identify and address patients’ clinical challenges and healthcare needs.
  • Develop and recommend personalized treatment plans, including prescribing medications tailored to each patient’s condition.
  • Collaborate closely with our expanding team of physicians and advanced practice providers, consulting as needed and facilitating timely referrals for specialized evaluation or treatment.
  • Stay at the forefront of pulmonary medicine by engaging in continuous learning—through professional journals, networking opportunities, and participation in conferences and seminars—to ensure the highest standard of care.
  • Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all clinicians.
  • Clinician staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system.
