About The Position

This position is responsible for providing comprehensive support for the Division of Otolaryngology at Nemours Children's Hospital, focusing on pediatric patients. The role involves patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment management, and collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure quality care and infection prevention initiatives.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an Accredited PA program.
• National Certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Active PA License upon hire.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• American Heart Association PALS certification.
• 1 year of ENT experience required.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and obtain health histories.
• Complete physical and developmental assessments.
• Diagnose health problems and manage patient care.
• Provide health care teaching and counseling to patients and families.
• Initiate referrals and maintain health records.
• Provide consultative services as needed.
• Assist in the operating room as a first assist.
• Write admission, pre-operative, post-operative, and discharge orders.
• Accept after-hours phone calls from patients and hospital nursing personnel.
• Treat pediatric patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Work closely with the infection prevention team to support initiatives.
