Looking for qualified applicants to join our growing PA program. We offer a supportive team environment at a local community hospital with hands-on training from both our surgeons and fellow PAs. Under the direction of the Supervising Physician, Chief Physician Assistant or Director of Physician Assistant Services performs history and physical examinations. Establishes a presumptive diagnosis and performs a general work-up including the ordering of appropriate laboratory studies and responsible for the patient’s medical issues following the diagnosis. May assist medical staff with pre, intra- and post-operative surgical activities and research projects in assigned area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s in Physician Assistant studies.
  • NYS licensure.
  • NCCPA certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience assisting in the operating room.
  • Orthopedic experience.
  • Experience with administering injections or willingness to learn.
  • 1+ years of experience as a Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Perform history and physical examinations under the direction of the Supervising Physician.

  • Be responsible for the patient’s medical issues following the diagnosis.
  • Assist medical staff with pre, intra- and post-operative surgical activities.
