About The Position

Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Per Diem Orthopedic Physician Assistant for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Department of Orthopedics at Morristown Medical Center. We are looking for a dedicated and reliable PA to provide coverage during evenings and weekends for our supportive and well-established outpatient orthopedic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of orthopedic experience, with previous experience in the OR as a first assist and can work collaboratively with the team, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The primary role of the PA is to assist in orthopedic cases, order and interpret diagnostic tests, evaluate, and treat patients in the office, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient care. The team is committed to ensuring work-life balance for all staff and will work collaboratively to accommodate scheduling needs whenever possible. Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
  • Must be certified by the National Board of Certification of Orthopaedic Physician’s Assistants
  • ACLS and BLS certification required
  • 3-5 years of Ortho experience preferred
  • Must have excellent communication and computer skills
  • Must be enthusiastic
  • willing to learn and takes on challenges
  • Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
