About The Position

The Physician's Assistant assists, monitors, and manages the day-to-day needs of patients as requested by, in conjunction with, and under the supervision of a physician. This role will evaluate and diagnose musculoskeletal conditions, assist surgeons in the OR, educate patient and family members on treatment planning and implementation. The PA will report to the Hewitt, NJ office five days a week, providing Orthopedic care. Monday- Friday 8a-4p position with on call commitment. On Call commitment to be determined based on the physicians needs.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education.
• Physician Assistant License.
• Certification by the National Commission for Certified Physician's Assistants (NCCPA) within one year of initial employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist, monitor, and manage the day-to-day needs of patients under physician supervision.
• Evaluate and diagnose musculoskeletal conditions.
• Assist surgeons in the operating room (OR).
• Educate patients and family members on treatment planning and implementation.
