About The Position

Olympia Orthopaedics Associates (OOA) is looking for an experienced Physician Assistant to work directly with one of our well-established Orthopaedic Surgeons, specializing in a variety of cases including Total Joint, Hand, and Shoulder surgery. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work both in clinic and assist in surgeries. Under the supervision of a surgeon, you will be responsible for examining patients, administering drugs, ordering medical and diagnostic testing, diagnosing illnesses, and counselling patients and their families.

Requirements

• Active Physician Assistant license in the state of WA.
• 2-3 years' of Orthopaedic experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and assess their medical conditions.
• Administer drugs and treatments as prescribed.
• Order medical and diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose illnesses and develop treatment plans.
• Counsel patients and their families regarding health issues and treatment options.
• Assist in surgeries under the supervision of an Orthopaedic Surgeon.
