About The Position

OAM + i’move is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Orthopaedic Trauma team. This role provides professional medical care under physician supervision, focusing on outpatient evaluation, treatment, and follow-up of orthopaedic trauma patients in a busy clinic environment. You will be instrumental in delivering efficient, high-quality care, supporting both surgical and non-surgical patients while helping streamline clinic flow.

Strong clinical judgment, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a patient-centered mindset.
Physician Assistant degree from an accredited program, NCCPA certification, and active Michigan PA license (or eligibility) required

Nice To Haves

prior experience in orthopaedics, emergency medicine, or trauma preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform patient histories, physical exams, and focused orthopaedic evaluations
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions
Order and interpret imaging and diagnostic studies
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
Provide patient education on injuries, recovery, and treatment options
Perform in-office procedures (casting, splinting, bracing, suturing, injections)
Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, including follow-ups
Document accurately and efficiently in EMR systems
Prescribe medications in accordance with Michigan law and practice guidelines
Support clinic efficiency by organizing patient flow and care coordination
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams
Participate in occasional surgical assisting and hospital coordination as needed
