UCHealth Medical Group and the Orthopedic Trauma team, located in Colorado Springs, CO are ready to welcome an experienced Physician Assistant or RNFA Nurse Practitioner to their team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, interested in working PRN and focused on excellent patient care. At UCHealth, we believe each person is extraordinary, and together, we make extraordinary possible. This position requires flexibility as the needs of the department can change. Rotational schedule of weekdays, weekends, overnights, days, and combo. First Assist experience required. Nurse Practitioners must have their RNFA certification. This is a PRN position. Experience with reductions/splitting required. Locations: Memorial Hospital Central, Printer's Park Medical Plaza, and Memorial Hospital North.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing.
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Colorado.
• Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the relevant certifying body.
• Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Eligible to provide reimbursable services with Medicare and Medicaid.
• No sanctions or exclusions from federal programs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with reductions/splitting.
• RNFA certification for Nurse Practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care as part of the Orthopedic Trauma team.
• Assist in surgical procedures as a First Assist.
• Work on a rotational schedule including weekdays, weekends, and overnights.
• Adapt to changing departmental needs.
