About The Position

What you will be doing: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Adult Medicine Provide comprehensive primary health care including health promotion and disease prevention activities for patients. Collaborate with department physicians to provide specialized care and refer patients to consultants for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment procedures. Take medical history, assess medical conditions, and interpret findings. Communicate effectively with patients, peers, and other stakeholders both orally and in writing. Maintain timely, thorough, and accurate written clinical documentation. Make evidence-based clinical decisions and comply with department and organizational quality measures. Use electronic health records and other computer systems. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience you will need: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Adult Medicine 1-2 years’ experience working in an ambulatory setting or providing urgent care is preferred.

Requirements

  • APRN or PA License in the state of Connecticut.
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA and state narcotic registration.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years’ experience working in an ambulatory setting or providing urgent care is preferred.
