GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES Responsible for providing medical assistance to patients in hospital, and receives training and direction from practice physicians. PRIMARY LOCATION: Northside Gwinnett; including floating to additional Northside, Piedmont, and Emory Hospitals Northside: Gwinnett, Duluth, Atlanta, Forsyth Piedmont: Eastside and Henry Emory: Midtown, Decatur, St. Joe's, Eastside, John’s Creek, Hillandale
Requirements
- Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant or Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner required, adult or acute care Nurse Practitioner.
- Must be computer literate and able to operate Practice Management software and multiple Microsoft Office applications.
Nice To Haves
- GI experience preferred, however, new graduates are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Completing inpatient hospital coverage and rounds at the hospital
- Accurately providing and counseling patients with information for medical treatment or procedures
- Dictating for hospital consults performed
- Answering emails and voicemails and returning patient calls in a timely and efficient manner
- Abiding by and promoting HIPAA compliance; maintaining strictest confidentiality with regards to patient information
