About The Position

The Inpatient and Emergency Department Advanced Practice Provider provides comprehensive care to admitted patients and in consultation to the ED, to include admitted post-operative patients, monitoring recovery, managing pain, addressing complications, and performing procedures within their scope of practice. They will collaborate closely with surgeons, hospitalists, ER providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Additionally, they will educate patients and their families about post-operative care and discharge planning.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or Nursing (MSN)
Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (CNP) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice.
Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP-BC)
Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)

Nice To Haves

Doctorate in Nursing preferred (DNP)
Experience with EPIC preferred
Orthopedic experience preferred
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
