About The Position

An Advanced Practice Provider (APP) specializing in Total Joints will provide primary or specialty medical care within the scope of practice under the supervision of a licensed physician. They work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, offering a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with orthopaedic health conditions. Their responsibilities include collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, documenting accurate progress notes, performing and interpreting diagnostic procedures, and facilitating communication with patients, families, and staff to ensure continuity of care. They also participate in the development of quality indicators and acquire information on current trends in the NP/PA field through educational programs, conferences, and professional associations.

Requirements

  • A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program.
  • Eligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.
  • Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NP’s).
  • Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
  • Must be licensed with first assist from either accredited training or PA-C program
