About The Position

RESPONSIBILITIES Direct Patient Care: Administers or prescribes treatments and tests, including pap smears and pelvic/breast exams Conducts thorough consultations, medical histories, and physical examinations of patients Diagnoses and treats gynecological conditions, such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, infections, and menopause-related symptoms Provides prenatal care, including regular check-ups and screenings for pregnancies Offers family planning services, contraceptive counseling, and assists with contraceptive procedures Performs minor office-based procedures, such as IUD insertions/removals and implant insertions/removals Educates patients on reproductive health, preventative care, and treatment options Provides counseling and support to patients regarding family planning, fertility issues, and pregnancy-related concerns Provider and Team Support: Collaborates with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, support staff, and other women's health practitioners to provide comprehensive patient care Shares accountability for overall patient health outcomes by working in coordination with care teams Operates to instill confidence in our care and in our facilities to patients, fellow employees, and other stakeholders Clinical Administration: Maintains accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records and ensures proper documentation of patient encounters Reviews patient files/records, including allergies, problems, medications, and immunization status Elicits and records information about patient medical history Examines patients for symptoms or physical information Orders and executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient’s condition Analyzes reports and findings of tests, examinations, and diagnoses to understand the patient’s current condition Determines and prescribes patient medications, dosages, and schedules dependent on their conditions and allergies Prescribes and administers vaccinations to immunize patients from communicable diseases Documents patient visits, including medical history, physical exam, diagnoses, and plan of action Stays informed of organizational activities and promotes mission and goals Stays abreast of the latest advancements in women's health through continuing education, maintenance of certification, and professional development Reviews and responds to all forms of communication, such as emails, TEAMs messages and voice mails Functions at the highest level according to credentials and competency Impacts patient experience by demonstrating courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Completion of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with specialization in women’s health required Valid CA Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License required Board certification for women’s health or certified midwife required Valid DEA, CPR, and BLS certification required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through an American Heart Association (AHA)-approved source is required upon hire and must be maintained as a condition of employment. AHA-approved courses include an in-person, hands-on skills check with a certified instructor using a mannequin to demonstrate CPR and emergency response techniques. Online-only BLS courses without a live skills check do not meet this requirement. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skills Excellent interpersonal skills to work with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals Ability to lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Knowledgeable about and experience with conducting gynecological examinations, procedures, and obstetric care Knowledgeable about and experience with current evidence-based practices and guidelines in women's health Ability to work with diverse patient populations Ability to work in an advanced capacity in electronic medical records, email, video conferencing systems, and common office software Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent planning and organizational ability Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner Physical Requirements Ability to lift/carry 25 lbs/weight Ability to stand for long periods of time Pay range depends on years of experience: $124,000-$191,100 Annually Compensation Disclosure: The posted salary range reflects the designated pay grade for this position. While this range represents the broader classification of the role, actual compensation will be based on several factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s overall knowledge, skills, and experience, market data and industry benchmarks, internal equity within the organization, Budgetary considerations and organizational needs. As a result, placement within the range is not guaranteed, and the full pay grade range may not be utilized.

Requirements
