About The Position

Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Surgery is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Vascular Surgery Department at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Requirements

• The successful Physician Assistant must be a graduate of an ARC-approved physician assistant program, eligible or certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants and eligible or certified by the State Board of Medicine.
• The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners and must be eligible for or certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
• Must be certified to work with all patient population age groups.

Responsibilities

• The vascular surgery Advanced Practitioner will join a dedicated team of vascular surgeons and physician assistants and nurse practitioner at Geisinger Community Medical Center.
• This practice is a mix of outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, some first assist OR time and weekend and night call.
