About The Position

An Advanced Practice Provider who focuses on the care of women with pelvic floor disorders. These disorders can include urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and other conditions that affect the pelvic floor and bladder. This provider is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing pelvic floor disorders in women. This role involves in-office treatments, patient education, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals including urogynecology physician, to provide comprehensive care.

Requirements

  • Completion of accredited NP or PA-C program
  • Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment
  • Must maintain active ARNP or PA-C licensure throughout employment
  • DEA, NPI & Prescriptive authority
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.
  • Strong diagnostic and procedural skills with a compassionate approach to patient care and a commitment to innovation and excellence in women’s health.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate and work with physicians, nursing staff, medical assistants and front office staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in urogynecology, women's health, BO/GYN, or surgical specialty preferred
  • Experience in Urogynecology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat pelvic floor disorders such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and fecal incontinence.
  • Refer diagnosed urogynecologic surgical procedures to practice Urogynecologists
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that may include medication, physical therapy, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Educate patients about their conditions and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers and multidisciplinary teams, including primary care physicians, physical therapists, Urogynecologists, and other specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in urogynecology.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Participate in practice call coverage as required.
  • Order radiologic imaging or labs as indicated.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) inclusive of direct patient encounters and asynchronous care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical education, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
