Position Details: - The ideal candidate will be adaptable to changing departmental needs and capable of working autonomously, while maintaining confidence in managing Level 1 trauma cases. - Inpatient and outpatient services; including rounding, discharges, emergency department consults, and outpatient clinic coverage. - This position is Weekdays, Weekends, Overnights and Holidays - First assist experience required. - Experience with reductions/splinting - Locations: Memorial Hospital Central, Printer's Park Medical Plaza, and Memorial Hospital North.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Master's degree in Nursing for Nurse Practitioners.
  • Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado or Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the relevant certifying body.
  • Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe medications.
  • Eligible to provide reimbursable services with Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with reductions/splinting.
  • First assist experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient services including rounding, discharges, emergency department consults, and outpatient clinic coverage.
  • Manage Level 1 trauma cases autonomously.
  • Work adaptable to changing departmental needs.
  • Participate in first assist duties.
