About The Position

Be part of the growing Women's Health Center! The Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides patient services under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to Nurse Practitioner Protocol, and within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner License in the State of Wisconsin. The Surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant ensures continuity between clinical practice and standards of care as well as promotes and aids in patient preparation for discharge. This individual works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other health care disciplines utilizing a team approach to healthcare. Call frequency: 1 weekend a month The Surgical Nurse Practitioner provides patient services under the collaboration of a licensed physician. The Surgical Nurse Practitioner ensures continuity between clinical practice and standards of care as well as promotes and aids in patient preparation for discharge. This individual works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other health care disciplines utilizing a team approach to healthcare. In this role, you will be joining an experienced group that is continuing to grow their GYN and UroGyn practice. Call will be included in this role with a frequency of 1: 5 rotation.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program.
  • Current State of Wisconsin Nurse License or Nurse Compact License, and Nurse Practitioner Licensure or Certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • One to two years' experience in specialty.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
  • One to two years' nursing experience in specialty.
