About The Position

Geisinger Gastroenterology seeks a Hepatology-focused Advanced Practitioner for our team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Specialty Clinic in Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania. Join an established multidisciplinary team of Hepatologists, Gastroenterologists, Transplant Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, Advanced Practitioners, and nursing staff dedicated to delivering comprehensive liver care. This position will perform in collaboration with physicians to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with complex liver disease, including cirrhosis, portal hypertension, and pre- and post-liver transplant management. The Advanced Practitioner will play a key role in coordinating care across specialties, ensuring seamless communication between Hepatology, Transplant Surgery, and Interventional Radiology teams to optimize patient outcomes. Responsibilities include gathering clinical data, implementing therapeutic plans, and functioning as a patient advocate in the medical care system—serving as confidant, advisor, and liaison between patients, families, and physicians. The role reports clinically to the Director of GI and administratively to the Chief Advanced Practitioner.
