About The Position

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Think Quick works as a member of the health care team under supervision of a physician in Thinks Urgent Care Clinic. This role involves assessing the medical, physical, social, and psychological status of patients by obtaining a comprehensive problem-oriented health history, performing physical examinations, and ordering and evaluating laboratory and other diagnostic studies as medically indicated. The APP will also perform tests, interpret data to establish preliminary diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and provide appropriate referrals. Additionally, the APP will order and/or administer injections and immunizations, write prescriptions, maintain comprehensive medical records, and provide patient education and counseling regarding health maintenance and disease prevention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Advanced Practice Provider (APP) certification and unrestricted licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of clinical practice experience, preferably in an urgent care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the medical, physical, social and psychological status of patients by obtaining a comprehensive problem-oriented health history.
  • Perform physical examinations of appropriate complexity and order laboratory and diagnostic studies as medically indicated.
  • Interpret available data to establish a preliminary diagnosis and develop a treatment plan.
  • Consult with collaborating physician regarding abnormal results or when a medical problem is beyond the scope of training.
  • Order and/or administer injections and immunizations and write prescriptions based on treatment protocols.
  • Maintain comprehensive and complete medical records, ensuring accuracy and currency.
  • Document all orders and sign all entries for billing purposes.
  • Instruct patients and families regarding medication and treatment, providing appropriate education and counseling.
  • Assist patients and caregivers in identifying and utilizing community resources for optimum health.
