The role requires daily patient rounds, writing orders for medications and diagnostic tests, and interpreting laboratory results. Collaboration with attending physicians and nursing staff is essential to ensure high-quality patient care. Upon discharge, the individual will document summaries, prescriptions, and referrals, as well as inform patients about post-discharge care instructions.
