Temple Faculty Physicians, the academic practice plan of Temple Health, is made up of more than 500 employed physicians who are the cornerstone of clinical care and teaching for Temple's healthcare enterprise. Today, Temple faculty physician offices are located at Temple University Hospital and its campuses, satellite offices located in Center City Philadelphia, Fort Washington, PA, Oaks, PA, and various other outpatient settings. This expanded reach has brought Temple medical care closer to home for many of our patients. Temple’s Urology Department is searching for an Advance Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the team! This role falls under the Temple Faculty Practice division. Setting \: Outpatient Hours \: Fulltime\: M-F, 8 hrs. a day/ 40 hrs. a week | No On Call or Weekends Location\: Fort Washington, PA with a possible rotation to Chestnut Hill and Fox Chase Campus Job Summary The Advanced Practice Provider (APP), either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, delivers comprehensive medical care and care coordination across clinical specialties in collaboration with licensed physicians and healthcare teams. Responsibilities include conducting physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, prescribing medical therapeutics, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, assisting in surgical procedures, and counseling patients on preventive care. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree \: in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing . (Required)
  • Masters Degree \: in Nursing from an accredited Nursing program. (Required)
  • Bachelors Degree (Required)
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. (Required)
  • CRNP - PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner (Required)
  • NCCPA - Certified Physician Assistant (Required)
  • RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License (Required)
  • MPA-LIC - PA Medical Physician Asst Lic (Required)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • 2 Years experience as a nurse practitioner (Preferred)
  • 4 years’ experience as a physician assistant (Preferred)
  • 1 Year experience in a clinical specialty practice (Preferred)
  • 1 year outpatient/ambulatory experience (Preferred)
  • Experience in an EPIC environment (Preferred)
