About The Position
Hospital-based Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to assist our Trauma Surgeons with trauma/emergency room patients and inpatients to join our growing Level II Trauma Facility in Augusta, Georgia. Qualified Candidates: We are recruiting for a full time advanced practitioner (PA or NP) that is comfortable with all aspects of Trauma. 2 years of PA/NP trauma and critical care experience preferred. Position includes three 12 hour shifts per week with equal coverage of trauma/emergency, general surgery, hospital floor inpatient coverage and ICU coverage. This position is a key team member of the trauma team, assisting the trauma surgeons in critical situations and ICU patient management while facilitating patient progression to discharge. (Does not include duties to assist surgeon in the OR.)
Requirements
- NP/PA GA license(unrestricted)
- ACLS
- BLS
- ATLS preferred

Responsibilities
- round on floor patients and ICU patients (50% trauma/50% general surgery)
- responding to trauma resuscitations and assist with trauma consultations in the ED

- Discharge summaries
- respond to nursing's' phone calls
- write orders
