What You'll Do Assess, plan, and provide emergent, urgent and acute primary care in the After Hours Clinic for Grand River Hospital District. Our After Hours Care is a high-quality alternative to the Emergency Department for treating non-threatening illnesses and injuries. This position is for a 70-hour biweekly schedule, consisting of 10-hour shifts—one week at 40 hours and the other at 30 hours. Examines patients, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data including health history and results of examinations under the supervision of a physician. Works in collaboration with Physicians to assess the physical needs of patients admitted to the After Hours Clinic. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to Physicians and other departments. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. In addition to clinical duties, participates in quality assurance planning, initiatives, and improvement projects. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
