Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider to provide primary and/or specialty care in a variety of healthcare settings. The position emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. The role involves collaboration with the healthcare team and includes responsibilities such as conducting medical histories, performing physical examinations, and initiating appropriate tests. The position is full-time with the Interventional Radiology team at Indian River Hospital, focusing on both inpatient and outpatient populations and various interventional radiology procedures.

  • Conduct thorough medical histories and perform complete physical examinations.
  • Initiate appropriate lab, radiology tests, or other special tests required for evaluation of illness.
  • Scrutinize lab data to establish a record of the patient's current health status and develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Work in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Perform and interpret common laboratory, radiologic, cardiographic, and other routine diagnostic procedures.
  • Perform routine and specialized procedures as credentialed and privileged.
  • May prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by license.
  • Educate patients and answer questions regarding their disease, treatments, and related drug side effects.
  • Participate in medical team rounds and collaborate with nursing and other healthcare team members.
  • Refer patients to specialists as appropriate.
  • Ensure continuity of care by serving as a liaison between patients and other members of the care team.
  • Participate in quality monitoring and review of records and treatment plans.
  • Facilitate appropriate length of stay, discharge planning, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support professional development of the healthcare team.
  • Promote translation of evidence-based practices and may conduct research studies.
  • APRN Graduate of an accredited APRN program with a Master's degree required upon hire.
  • PA Graduate of an A.R.C. approved Physician Assistant Program with a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
  • Currently licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in applicable state(s) and must be licensed as an RN.
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a nationally accredited organization.
  • Current DEA License or DEA designee as required by NCQA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required based on work setting.
  • Must have arrangements with at least one physician in accordance with state requirements.
  • Must be credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the applicable hospitals.
  • Wound care certification (e.g., WCC, CWS, CWCN) preferred or willingness to obtain within 2 years of hire.
  • Previous experience in wound care, dermatology, vascular surgery, or a related field preferred.
  • New graduates with a strong interest in wound care and relevant clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
