About The Position

The Specialty/Invasive Physician Assistant (PA) will provide comprehensive medical care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment primarily at the Bridgett Cancer Center in Detroit, with occasional duties at a satellite clinic. This full-time position involves working 5-8 hour days, focusing on patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, and care coordination for oncology patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program.
  • Michigan state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
  • Continued certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Current ACLS/BLS certification as required.
  • Current ATLS/PALS provider status as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in the oncology department.
  • Provide education and consultation to patients and their families.
  • Coordinate care with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, and other medical staff.
  • Perform specific medical procedures as per credentialing and training.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
