About The Position
As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (COM) has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients. In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine’s faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day. A 12-month, full-time (100% FTE) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Critical Care Fellowship position is available in the Department of Medical Education. The Fellowship runs from September 2025 through September 2026. This fellowship program enables advanced practice nurses and physician assistants (APPs) to acquire robust clinical experiences and critical care knowledge base within the multi-faceted critical care areas at UC Medical Center and West Chester Hospital Clinical rotations include Internal Medicine, Neurology, Cardiology, Nephrology, Hepatology, and more. The APP Fellow is expected to participate in protected, non-clinical didactic education in the form of lectures, simulation, skills labs, case studies, presentations, and other components of the critical care fellow curriculum as determined by the coordinator and director. The APP Fellow is also responsible for completion of an evidence-based practice or quality-improvement project during their tenure as a fellow.
