Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA accredited Physician Assistant program required
  • PA - Physician Assistant Current State of Texas PA license upon hire required and
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required and
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
  • Other - must be credentialed by Medical Staff Service upon hire rquired

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant preferred
  • 1 year of experience in Neurosurgery/Neuro IR strongly preferred
  • Other - NCCPA upon hire preferred

Responsibilities

  • Documents actions, assessments, progress notes and plans in the EHR utilizing approved protocols, order sets and navigators as appropriate; addresses medication reconciliation.
  • Contributes to positive patient experience through effective patient communication and focus on coordination and communication with the multidisciplianry care team; works with varied Patient Experience Teams providing feedback and ideas.
  • Meets/performs regulatory requirements, NPSGs, clinical and other KPls, safety standards; analyzes performance; demonstrates fiscally sound decisions.
  • Performs clinical procedures authorized by the physician within scope of training and medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations
